The setting is an island surrounded by water, its quite a tall island this represents the whole world metaphorically.
The whole concept is about a message about climate change and world globalisation (world union) .
On this island live a man a women who is pregnant. They are different races and represent the races of the world. They are fairly simple living people carrying on their daily lives. But the world is troubled because of other activities causing climate change. The story is how the woman and man are effected by this and thus the whole world.
The man and the women are sitting on a bench talking about their futures and the future of their unborn child. Then a big storm starts and this takes the story into an emotional journey about human spirit and survival of the man and women - the world.
The storm gets worse and they have to abandon their talk on the bench and flee rising waters, started a journey to the pinacle of the island. During their escape and journey, along their way they discover the reasons that led to this events of them fighting to stay alive fighting for their security and the future of their unborn child.
The journey will consist of the following points and themes depicting the events that led up to the catastrophic events :-
Zoom in from the universe to a gobal of view and then to the island to where our characters are sat on a bench.
Our characters are shown discussing the future is becomes obvious that the women is pregnant.
They continue to talk about the future of their unborn child
As they are talking a storm is brewing - rain storms, lightning and winds increase.
They walk across a nearby bridge they pass people who are fleeing in all directions.
Water starts to rise as storm continues they head towards the spiral 'staircase'
Cuts to a top view of spiral island.
Electricity is cutting out as they climb the spiral, lights beneath them are going out.
The women adds to tension as she is slow to climb due to pregnancy. The man is holding her hand trying to pull her faster.
As they continue their journey there are images surrounding them this reminds the audience of the events that has led up to this catastrophe.
This will be done by showing images of the industrial revolution, deforestation, earthquakes, adverse weather conditions, emissions, money.
They continue to climb higher and higher towards the top to escape the continuing rising water. The top seems ever ending. they are getting tired
The spiral is getting smaller and smaller
The reach the top they look at the waters then to each other.
The scene zooms out from their eye - you seethe island submerged
This depicts the window of the soul. Zoom out further to where the story began.
